Hate Speech News Clippings

Hrant Dink Foundation Hate Speech Clippings subcollection contains texts/clippings that document discriminatory, marginalizing, and targeting speeches, scanned from the national and local press in Turkey, gathered between 2009 and 2019 within the framework of the foundations project, “Media Watch on Hate Speech”.

“The Collection of Hate Speech News Clippings” includes news with hate speeches from national and local newspapers, columns, book introductions and criticisms, archive pages.

This collection was created with the words (e.g. Anti - Turkism, traitor, giaour, Muslim, refugee) in all national and more than 500 local news in the extent of media monitoring focused on hate speeches.

Archive elements in this collection can be researched as categorized characteristics of the hate speech, name of the newspapers, targeted identities’ groups, and periods.
